Stay hydrated, take special care of children, elderly and animals and birds… PM Modi’s appeal to the countrymen amid the scorching heat.

Heat wave continues in many parts of the country. It has become difficult for people to come out of their homes due to the fire spewing from the sky. In many states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, people are facing a lot of problems due to the scorching heat. There are long queues of patients in hospitals. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged people to stay safe, drink adequate amount of water and show sympathy towards others struggling with the scorching heat. He told how daily life is becoming difficult across the country due to rising temperatures. He appealed to the people to be careful as well as help the people around them.

While sharing the post on social media, PM Modi said, ‘The temperature is continuously increasing in different parts of the country and along with it, the problems caused in daily life due to heat are also increasing. I urge all my countrymen to be careful. Drink adequate amount of water and keep water with you while leaving the house. In such weather, your sensitivity also proves to be very helpful. The PM said that if possible, give a glass of water to a thirsty person. He said that I also appreciate those people who keep water pitchers outside their homes and shops so that everyone can drink water from it.

The temperature is continuously increasing in different parts of the country and along with it, many difficulties caused by heat in daily life are also increasing. PM Modi gave advice

The PM said in another post that do not ignore any problem caused by extreme heat, such as dizziness, nausea or extreme fatigue. He said that if someone around you suddenly feels faint, weak or unwell, then immediately take them to a cool and shady place and give them water, ORS or other fluids so that the body can rest.

‘Take care of children and the elderly’

He said that in this scorching heat, children, elderly and people working in the sun are most affected. If timely attention is not given, this condition can turn into a serious problem like heatstroke. He said that in such times your alertness and care can save someone’s life.

With temperatures reaching dangerous levels in many states, the Prime Minister also made a special appeal to the elderly, urging people to check on the well-being of their elderly family members and neighbours. He said, ‘Whenever possible, call your parents, grandparents and other loved ones and ask about their well-being. Advise them to drink plenty of water, avoid going out in the hot afternoon sun and take as much rest as possible.

‘Give water to birds and animals’

Along with this, the Prime Minister also drew attention to the impact of extreme heat on birds and animals and urged people to keep water bowls outside houses, balconies, rooftops and shops.

Keeping a small vessel filled with water outside your house, balcony, terrace, shop or office can also become a lifeline for a thirsty bird.
