
Pune Crime News: A video from Pune, Maharashtra went viral on social media. In this, a young man who was out on a morning walk was seen performing obscene acts in front of a girl standing at the bus stop. The girl did not panic at that time, but started making its video. Seeing this the young man attacked the girl. Then ran away from there. But now the accused is in the custody of the police. The incident took place in Pimpri-Chinchwad area.
The name of the accused is Zakir. It is alleged that Zakir started doing obscene acts as soon as he saw the girl standing at the bus stop. When the girl showed courage and started making the video, he attacked the girl and tried to break the mobile. But when the girl showed courage and resisted, the accused youth started running away from there. The girl continued making videos without any fear. When the accused saw that the girl was not stopping making the video, he threw his jacket and cap from the bridge itself.
On the basis of this video, the accused was arrested by Pune Police and presented in the court, after which the police custody of the accused was taken. Investigation is being done to find out how many girls has he done such obscene acts in the past also.
CCTV footage was examined
Police said- This shocking incident of molestation has come to light at the Empire Estate BRT bus stop located on Mother Teresa flyover in Chinchwad, Pune. Where obscene acts were committed with a 24 year old girl. Taking action in this case, after examining the CCTV, Pimpri Police has arrested the accused Zakir Hamid Shaikh from Walhekarwadi.
The girl was waiting for the bus
This incident happened on May 22 at around 7:45 am, when the girl was standing at the bus stop waiting for her company’s bus. At the same time, the accused started making obscene gestures in front of her. Without panicking and displaying indomitable courage, the girl immediately started recording the incident on her mobile phone. Frightened by this, the accused, in an attempt to hide his identity, threw his jacket and cap on the road and fled from the spot.
On receiving information about the incident, Pimpri police examined the footage of more than 100 CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding area. Based on technical analysis, the police traced the accused Zakir Shaikh and took him into custody from Walhekarwadi. A case has been registered at Pimpri Police Station and further investigation is underway.
