The bulletin said that based on the medical assessment done by the doctors at VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital and AIIMS, New Delhi, continuous medical intervention and uninterrupted medical monitoring is necessary to ensure timely detection and timely treatment of possible complications. Indefinite fast starts from June 28
Wangchuk was forcibly taken from Jantar Mantar to Safdarjung Hospital by Delhi Police on Saturday, the 21st day of his indefinite hunger strike. He had started an indefinite fast on June 28 in support of the movement led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) against the alleged irregularities in the NEET examination and the alleged deaths of students related to the controversy.

Wangchuk announced on Monday that he would continue his indefinite hunger strike. He said that he had to take this decision due to the police action against the protesters during the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march of ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP). He will continue the fast until the youth leaders are allowed to meet the MPs or he himself is allowed to do so from the hospital.

He said that it is expected that the government will decide the accountability of the Education Minister before that. Wangchuk said he was “very impressed and emotional” that the protesters had maintained peace despite “provocations”. He said that I appeal to the government and the police force to resolve this matter by allowing the students to present their complaints before the Parliament today or tomorrow. I am sure the young protesters will maintain peace, as they did today.
