On Tuesday, the second day of the monsoon session, there was a huge uproar in both the houses of the Parliament regarding lathi charge on students. After the uproar, the proceedings of both the houses were adjourned till 2 pm. Opposition MPs were demanding discussion on the paper leak. As soon as the proceedings of the Lok Sabha started, there was an uproar. Opposition MPs started raising slogans. Something similar happened in Rajya Sabha also.
National President of Congress and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge alleged that he was not being allowed to speak. Where should we express our views? He also accused him of switching off the mic. Kharge said in the House that thousands of students of our country are raising their voice against paper leak but this government got them lathicharged. They were beaten and tear gas shells were fired at them. This is a very condemnable incident. Kharge said that a conspiracy is going on to destroy democracy.
