Team India will leave for Sri Lanka on 4th August for the Test series starting from 15th August. The reason behind Team India reaching Sri Lanka so early is to play a warm-up match there. The Indian team will play a 4-day warm-up match in Colombo before the Test series, which will start from August 7.

Bumrah-Jadeja may return

There are 3 big updates related to the announcement of Team India for the Sri Lanka tour. first update Jasprit Bumrah And is related to Ravindra Jadeja. According to Times of India, Bumrah and Jadeja may be seen returning to the Test team against Sri Lanka. Both these players were not part of Team India in the only Test played against Afghanistan. Bumrah was injured while Jadeja was rested.

Suspense on beauty

The second update related to the Test team of Sri Lanka tour is related to Washington Sundar, there is suspense regarding his selection in the team. Washington Sundar was injured during the ODI series in England. He is said to have an injury in his right hamstring, due to which he was also out of the decider match of the ODI series at Lord’s. According to TOI report, Sundar may take up to 2 weeks to recover from his injury. Team India has to leave for Sri Lanka on 4th August. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see what decision the selectors take regarding Sundar.

The third update regarding the Test team of Sri Lanka tour is that the positions of Manav Suthar and Kuldeep Yadav may remain intact in Team India. Apart from them, Mohammad Siraj, Gurnoor Brar and Prasidh Krishna are also expected to remain in the pace attack.
