Shatrughan Sinha Advice to Sonakshi: Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is seen playing the role of a powerful lawyer in Amazon Prime Video’s new courtroom drama film ‘System’. In an exclusive conversation with TV9 Hindi Digital during the promotion of this film, Sonakshi revealed that her father and veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha had given her a gurumantra at the beginning of her career, which changed her entire life. Shatrughan Sinha’s advice was that if you cannot be the best in the crowd, then prove yourself completely different from others. Adopting this lesson, Sonakshi started choosing strong female characters in her career from films like ‘Akira’ and ‘System’.

Sonakshi Sinha said, “One thing that Papa I think has been telling me till date is – ‘If you can’t be the best, prove yourself to be different than the rest’ i.e. if you can’t be the best, then prove yourself so different from others that the world is forced to look at you.”
How did Shatrughan Sinha himself adopt this rule in his film career?
During the interview, Sonakshi told that her father ‘Shotgun’ Shatrughan Sinha not only gave advice but also always followed the same rule in his own career. According to Sonakshi, when her father started in the film industry, he used to appear in villain or side roles rather than as a hero.
