Recently, software engineer Anjali shared a video on social media, in which she openly gave the account of her entire expenditure for the month of May.

He says that he spent about Rs 71 thousand in a month. This amount may seem high at first glance, but he believes that in a city like Bengaluru, especially when you include traveling and eating out every now and then, it is not an unusual expense. Anjali first gave information about her household expenses in the video. He told that his monthly rent is Rs 28 thousand. Apart from this, about Rs 1,000 has to be paid every month for water and electricity bills. If we add all these, the living expenses alone reach around Rs 30 thousand. That means the largest part of their total monthly expenses is related to the house.

How much does it cost per month?

Talking about food and drinks, they get breakfast and lunch from the office. This is the reason why no separate money has to be spent on this. However, he has kept a cook at home for dinner. Cook’s fee is around Rs 3 thousand per month. Apart from this, about Rs 3 thousand is also spent on ration and grocery. That means the total expense of dinner and home food comes to around Rs 6 thousand.

They have also got relief in terms of traffic. His company provides transportation facilities to its employees, so there is no need to spend separately on cabs or petrol every day. However, they spend around Rs 3,000 every month on some essential facilities. This includes expenses related to gym fees, home WiFi and RO. Apart from daily expenses, Anjali also spends money on her lifestyle. He told that every month about 12 to 14 thousand rupees are spent on things like eating out, going to cafes, spending time with friends and shopping. He believes that only work cannot be done for the whole month, hence it is also necessary to spend a little on entertainment and self.

Not only this, he is also very fond of travelling. Whenever she gets a chance, she goes out to visit places around Bangalore. Usually 15 to 20 thousand rupees are spent on such trips. He had also planned to travel in the month of May, due to which his total monthly expenses increased to around Rs 71 thousand. After the video went viral, many people gave different reactions regarding his expenditure. Some people said that spending so much money is too much, while some believed that this amount is absolutely normal in a city like Bengaluru. Many users also asked her whether she is able to save after spending so much.
