May 27, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Bangladeshi infiltrators are returning home before Bakrid. A large number of people are gathering at the border. Some people are going back to Bangladesh from Hakimpur border. These also include those people who were born in India, but their parents were Bangladeshi. These people do not have documents before 2002. There is fear in the minds of people about the new government formed in Bengal.

It is because of fear that they are leaving India. These people are returning to areas like Khulna and Jashore of Bangladesh. After the action of Bengal CM Subhendu Adhikari, the fear among the people has become so much that some Indian citizens (whose parents were Bangladeshi) are also leaving the country. These people used to work as daily wage laborers in Kolkata and other places. He had come to India in search of work and was living happily here. Some people say that they were paying Rs 10,000 per person to brokers to cross the border.

Inflow of infiltrators on the border

The BJP government of West Bengal has recently given instructions to build a detention center to trace and deport illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya immigrants from the country. After this the infiltrators have started leaving Bengal. According to media reports, about 100 Bangladeshi citizens gathered near Basirhat border post in North 24 Parganas district on Tuesday evening. Police said that this number is much less than before because thousands of people had gathered for the first time. Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari had also warned the infiltrators.

Run quickly otherwise… CM Shuvendu warned

Let us tell you that while talking to journalists after an administrative meeting in Nadia, Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari said that those who are Bangladeshi should leave the country of their own free will. We have instructed the police not to send him to jail. The Chief Minister said that the infiltrators are not the sons-in-law of India, who should be fed free food in jail. They should run away from here as soon as possible otherwise the government will take strict action.
