Tension between America and Iran seems to be increasing again. America has claimed that Iran had sent four attack drones towards the Strait of Hormuz. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that these four drones were moving towards the Strait of Hormuz and could pose a threat to the movement of ships in the area.
According to the US, the drones posed an immediate threat to maritime traffic, so they were destroyed en route. After dropping the drone, the US Army targeted the coastal surveillance radar centers located on Goruk and Qeshm Islands of Iran. CENTCOM said that this action was taken in self-defense and to prevent possible further attacks. America says that its objective is to maintain freedom of navigation and maritime security in the region.

CENTCOM said in a statement released on social media platform X that US forces shot down four Iranian one-way attack drones because they were a threat to regional maritime traffic. After this, action was taken against radar targets to prevent further attacks. The US Army also said that it is ready to respond to any aggressive action by Iran and its troops are on full alert in the area.
