But this time the matter is a little different. Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor himself seems surprised about the A certificate received by his new film ‘Cocktail 2’. Usually, actors avoid talking openly about the decisions of the Censor Board, but Shahid has directly raised the question as to why his film was given an adult certificate.

Before release, the film was given an A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). However, there was no demand to remove any visual scenes from the film and it was passed almost without cuts. Only instructions were given to make some audio changes. The actor says that there is nothing in the film on which the audience should object or which should be limited only to adults.
‘I still don’t understand’
In a video that surfaced recently, Shahid Kapoor was seen expressing his surprise at the certification of the film. He said, ‘There is nothing in the film that anyone can object to. I still don’t understand why it got an A certificate. Shahid further said that this is a story of three people, which can be watched even while sitting together. According to the actor, the film shows relationships and life experiences and tries to give a good feeling to the audience and send them out to the theatres.

Shahid’s fifth A-rated film
Interestingly, ‘Cocktail 2’ has become the fifth A-rated film of Shahid Kapoor’s career. Before this, ‘Kaminey’, ‘Udta Punjab’, ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘O’Romeo’ have also got adult certificate. This is the first film in Kriti Sanon’s career which has received A certificate. The film has been directed by Homi Adajania. Currently, this statement of Shahid is in discussion and many fans are also asking the same question that when no major cuts were made in the film and there is no objectionable content, then why did the Censor Board decide to give it an A certificate.
