At the same time, on July 20, Shabana Azmi had also come to participate in the Parliament Chalo March. However, during this time the situation worsened so much that lathi charge was used to stop the protesters and even tear gas shells were fired. Now Shabana Azami has shared her experience. Shabana has told that her health had deteriorated due to tear gas shells.

Shabana Azmi’s health deteriorated due to tear gas

Speaking to The Indian Express, Shabana Azmi said, “I have asthma and had an attack due to the tear gas. But I had my pump, so now I am fine. After this, I was taken with dignity to a nearby building. When my breathing became normal, I went back to the protest site and met the students who were lathicharged. Their courage and spirit are praiseworthy. I salute them all.”

Said this regarding support of CJP

Talking about the support of CJP and Sonam Wangchuk, Shabana Azmi said that she has never been a part of any political party nor does she want to be in the future. According to him, when you join a party, its thinking becomes your thinking. She said that she had reached Jantar Mantar in support of those students who have been on hunger strike for more than 20 days and whose health is continuously deteriorating.

He said that the students are not making any wrong demands. To secure their future, they are demanding improvement in the education system and spending 6 percent of GDP on education. Appealing to the people and the government, Shabana said that students should be listened to, they should be given hope and their morale should be encouraged, and efforts should not be made to suppress their voices.
