He said that performing is an important part of the profession of singers and he never felt such fatigue in his career due to which he had to distance himself from singing.
During this, Shaan also mentioned the old statement of singer Kailash Kher, in which he had said that nowadays singers are expected not only to sing but also to give live performances continuously. What did Shaan say about playback break?
In a recent interview given to Humans of Bombay, Shaan expressed his opinion on Arijit Singh’s decision to take a break from playback singing. He said that any artiste’s statement of taking a break or doing less work should not be seen as the end of his career. Shaan says- I don’t think he has said this as if it is set in stone. Even before, many artists have said that now I am leaving, but after some time they come back again. I think people are taking this more seriously than necessary.”

Talking about the changes in the music industry, Shaan said that today the world of music is more open and full of opportunities than ever before. He told that now artists do not need to depend on any big music label or musician to take their music to the people.
According to Shaan, the growing trend of digital platforms and independent music has given artists a new way to make their mark. Now people are creating music themselves, releasing it and reaching the audience directly. This is the reason why today’s music industry has become more diverse and competitive than before.

He told that Kailash Kher often used to mention that singers are expected to sing suddenly in any program, party or social function.
