Do not make these mistakes while worshiping Satyanarayan Dev

Do not offer without Tulsi: Since Satyanarayan is the form of Lord Vishnu and Tulsi is very dear to Sri Hari. Therefore, during the worship of Lord Satyanarayan, one must offer Tulsi to him. The worship of Satyanarayan Dev is not complete without Tulsi. Lord Satyanarayan becomes very pleased by offering Tulsi.

Do not get up at the time of story: The story is considered to be the most important part of the worship of Satyanarayan. Many times people get up repeatedly during the Katha or when they receive a call, but one should not get up at all during the Katha. This is not considered correct at all.

Do not use spoiled banana leaves: Banana tree or leaves have special significance in the worship of Satyanarayan Dev. It is believed that Lord Vishnu resides in the banana tree. Do not use dry, broken or cut banana leaves in this puja.
