A situation like ideological rift has arisen between political friends in Maharashtra. The sponsor of this trouble is an MLA from NCP Ajit Pawar group, name is Sana Malik. Sana is accused by her opponents that citing the example of Pakistan on polygamy in Islam, she demanded implementation of law based on Quran in India also. Not only this, he raised questions on the Indian Government’s decision to ban triple talaq and said that a law should be made to end triple talaq immediately. Whereas such a thing was abolished which did not exist in Islam. There was controversy over this statement.
Now if someone talks about making any religious text the basis of the country’s law over the Constitution, then trouble is guaranteed. It has already started but first know the complete statement of MLA Sana Malik, from where the spark of rift in Mahayuti in Maharashtra arose. Sana Malik says, this kind of atrocities are happening only on Muslim women. Can I ask this question? The answer will be that such atrocities are happening only on Muslim women. Is polygamy allowed in the Muslim religion? Pakistan has not done anything new under Muslim law.
What did Sana Malik say?
He further said, Pakistan has implemented the Muslim law which our Quran says. If it is implemented here also then it will not affect any of us, we follow whatever Quran says in Islam, so if something has been said in Quran then if it has been brought to Pakistan to follow it, then it should be implemented in India also, we demand it.
Now this statement of Sana Malik is trending on social media also. People are interpreting it in their own way. Questions are also being raised, but this debate is not limited to social media only, rather political swords have been drawn between close ones within the Mahayuti as well. BJP, NCP Ajit faction’s ally in Mahayuti, is furious with this statement of Sana Malik.
Minister Nitesh Rane’s counterattack
Minister Nitish Rane said that Sana Malik has forgotten that she is an MLA of India and not of Pakistan. Apart from this, leaders of Shiv Sena Shinde faction, the other ally of NCP Ajit faction in Mahayuti, are also criticizing him. Minister of State for Home Yogesh Kadam has said on this that while preparing any law, no decision is taken on the basis of any religious scripture.
Amidst all this, the opponents of Mahayuti have got a chance to comment on this internal difference. Due to these reasons, a lot of politics is happening in Maharashtra. Now when the political temperature is rising, MLA Sana Malik has also come clean after seeing the opportunity. Firstly, according to the most popular model of politics, he said that his statement was misinterpreted. It was distorted. After this, he told why he took the name of Pakistan in the Assembly and why he talked about making laws according to the Quran.
Sana Malik’s clarification
Sana Malik said, religion should not be brought into issues related to women. Pakistan should not be quoted on any issue. Those who praise Pakistan should go to Pakistan. Reference to Pakistan was made in Lakshadweep two days ago during the discussion on UCC Bill. I argued only on two issues in particular. First, atrocities against women should be discussed and no religion or community should be directly linked to it. He said that the question raised was whether Pakistan has made any law and why the example of Pakistan is being given. I had expressed my views in the same context. Discuss women’s issues, but there should be no attempt to link them to any religion or community.
