‘Sabka sath sabka effort…’ Nitin Naveen’s mantra to fight elections together, made strategy to win UP

July 5, 2026 by Uma Shankar

BJP national president Nitin Naveen’s two-day UP tour ended on Sunday. After becoming the national president, Nitin Naveen ended his Uttar Pradesh tour by giving two messages – ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Prayas’ and ‘Everyone will fight elections together’ – his first visit to Lucknow. In this visit of the National President of BJP, the attempt to create balance in the party and the fear of possible loss due to the Ayodhya incident were clearly visible. Perhaps this was the reason why Nitin Naveen met CM Yogi as well as the Deputy CM and the Sangh separately.

It is not that there was never factionalism in UP BJP, but after the party’s crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, the issue of government versus organization started arising. Due to this factionalism, the opposition started targeting BJP and started setting the political narrative of Delhi vs Lucknow.

The opposition started calling it Keshav Maurya vs CM Yogi and Backwards vs Thakurism. Nitin Naveen He also considers this challenge as a big crisis for the party and perhaps that is why during his tour, he met separately with CM Yogi for dinner, while with Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak at Mango Daawat and for dinner at Keshav Maurya’s house.

message of fighting elections together

However, during this time Nitin Naveen, National Organization General Secretary including CM Yogi Adityanath, State President Pankaj Chaudhary, Organization General Secretary Dharampal and both Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak were present. The message was clear that no one is special and everyone has to fight the elections together.

Eating mango with the workers while sitting on the cot at Brajesh Pathak’s place or eating butter from the plate of a party worker at the Sharma tea stall. This is an attempt by Nitin Naveen to give a clear message that whether he is the national president or a common worker, everyone is in the same interest in the party, there is no difference.

Senior journalist Rajendra Kumar says that during Nitin Naveen’s visit to UP, there should not be any new factionalism in the party and every possible effort should be made to reduce the old factionalism. At the same time, he remained focused on fighting the elections with everyone’s cooperation and giving respect to the allied parties.

The CM and both the Deputy CMs, all three are important for us and by giving equal importance to these three, the National President has tried to create a balance.

The dilemma of solving caste equation!

Bengal’s victory after becoming the national president may be seen as an achievement on Nitin Naveen’s part, but his real test will be in Uttar Pradesh, where Samajwadi Party’s PDA formula is pitted against BJP’s hard Hindutva.

After the Ayodhya incident, the possibility of Hard Hindutva being able to prevail has also troubled the BJP leadership. Three big meetings took place on the first day of Nitin Naveen’s visit to Lucknow. With the officials of the organization at the BJP headquarters, with the MPs and MLAs (public representatives) in a five-star hotel in Lucknow and the most important meeting was held here with the core committee.

In which, along with CM Yogi and both the Deputy CMs, Organization National General Secretary BL Santosh, State President, Organization General Secretary Dharampal Singh and RSS campaigners, all other important leaders were present. In these three meetings, the strategy to solve the caste equation was discussed in detail. National President Nitin Naveen listened carefully to all the leaders on this issue. BJP also tried to give the message of social harmony by involving the entire society in their road shows.

Senior journalist Rajendra Kumar says that BJP will leave no stone unturned in solving caste equation. Even though BJP calls itself a party that stays away from caste politics, the truth is that BJP is no less than anyone in doing caste politics.

After factionalism and Ayodhya episode, caste factor is the biggest headache for them. The results of Lok Sabha elections in UP are still no less than a nightmare for BJP and this challenge will remain in the assembly elections also.

Nitin looked strict on theft of offerings

The Ayodhya offering theft issue amidst factionalism in the party is a big setback for BJP and this was clearly visible during Nitin Naveen’s tour. In the meeting with the organization and public representatives and also in his address from Prerna Sthal, he talked about blaming the culprits for theft of offerings and also criticized the opposition by saying that they have no moral right to do politics on this. But in various meetings during the Lucknow tour, he appeared more concerned about the damage control after the Ayodhya episode.

Senior journalist Rajendra Kumar says that the Ayodhya issue remains a sore spot for BJP. Even though SIT investigation and arrests have been made, till now no big leader has been arrested in this matter nor any statement has been made from the party in the way it should have been made.

For damage control of the loss caused by the Ayodhya issue, Nitin Naveen also gave instructions that the public representatives should listen seriously to the workers and people. Also, be active in solving their problems. Keep your views less in the media and more on the party forum. The National President has also advised the party leaders to avoid mutual statements and public comments.

Expressed respect towards Sangh by visiting ‘World Dialogue Center’

Contrary to the statement given by former BJP national president JP Nadda on the Sangh, Nitin Naveen not only reached the World Dialogue Center, but also spent a good amount of time with the Sangh. The effect of the Sangh’s displeasure was also visible in the election results of 2024. Nitin Naveen has tried to give the message by going to Vishwa Samvad Kendra that there has been no change in BJP’s attitude towards Sangh and Sangh is still respectable for BJP.

Senior journalist Rajendra Kumar says that Nitin Naveen’s visit to Vishwa Samvad Kendra is an attempt to give a big political message. However, after the Ayodhya episode, the Sangh also needs BJP. Most of the people in the donation theft case are from the Sangh background. But the truth is also that to fight the PDA formula of Samajwadi Party in the assembly elections, BJP will need a strategy of social harmony that connects the castes of the Sangh.

Nitin did not forget to meet allies also

Leaders of all the constituent parties of NDA openly spoke to Nitin Naveen. This is the success of his tour. Apart from Dr. Sanjay Nishad and RLD leader, Omprakash Rajbhar to Ashish Patel gave positive statements after the meeting.

Rajendra Kumar says that along with maintaining unity within the party, it is also a big challenge for Nitin Naveen to maintain better coordination with the allies. Nitin Naveen knows that since every component party of NDA is associated with some caste group. Therefore, there will be a need for alliance with allies to fight caste politics and PDA formula of SP.
