Russia’s major attack on Ukraine, fired 600 drones and 90 missiles including the dangerous Oranik missile; 4 deaths, 80 injured

Russia launched a major attack on Ukraine’s capital Kiev and surrounding areas. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia has fired a total of 90 missiles and 600 drones. Orasonic hypersonic missile was also used in this attack, which is considered extremely dangerous. This missile is also capable of carrying nuclear weapons. According to Ukrainian officials, 4 people died and more than 80 were injured in the attack. Many houses, schools, shops and other buildings were also destroyed or caught fire.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said it was a very scary night for the city. Explosions continued throughout the night. The rescue team continued to extinguish the fire and remove debris. The injured were taken to the hospital. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia also targeted the town of Bila Tserkva near Kiev. This city is about 64 km from Kyiv.

Demand for action against Russia

Zelensky said that Russia also targeted places related to water supply. They allege that Russia wants to spoil the water system before summer. He appealed to America and European countries to take strict steps against Russia.

Here Russia says that this attack was carried out by Ukraine in response to the attacks in Russia. Russia claims that it targeted Ukraine’s military bases, airbases and military-related centers. Russia also said that it used missiles like Orashnik, Iskander, Kinzhal and Zircon.

Oreshnik missile used for the third time

Russian President Vladimir Putin has already said that it is very difficult to stop the Orashnik missile, because its speed is 10 times more than the speed of sound. This is the third time that Russia has used the Oreshnik missile against Ukraine, since the Russia-Ukraine war began in February 2022. The strike range of Oreshnik is several thousand km and it is also capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

During the attack, people in Kyiv got scared and hid in metro stations. People remained sitting there for several hours. A woman told that there were continuous sounds of explosions upstairs and people were very scared. In the morning, smoke was visible in many parts of the city. Windows of many buildings were broken and parts of some houses collapsed. Fire brigade and rescue teams remained busy in relief work for a long time.
