Riteish Deshmukh Controversy: Famous Bollywood and Marathi cinema actor Ritesh Deshmukh is enjoying the great success of his film ‘Raja Shivaji’ these days. Salman Khan also attended the success party held some time ago. But amid this success, a controversy had arisen which gained prominence on social media. Actually, a video of the film’s success party went viral on the internet, in which Riteish Deshmukh was seen dancing wearing a T-shirt with the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Some people objected to this video and even accused him of drinking alcohol.

Now on this whole matter Ritesh Deshmukh Has issued a long note on social media and presented its clarification. He has said that he has never drunk alcohol. Also, Ritesh has apologized for dancing wearing a T-shirt with the name of Shivaji Maharaj. Also gave a befitting reply to the trollers. Riteish Deshmukh has shared an official statement in Marathi on the story of his official Instagram handle. In his statement, Ritesh wrote, “I want to clarify with all humility that by celebrating Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by wearing a T-shirt with his name on it, my intention was not at all to insult him. I was using that T-shirt during the promotional campaign of the film. That day too, I had attended the event directly for promotional work, due to which I did not remember to change the T-shirt in a hurry and I went to the event in the same manner.”

Totally denied allegations of drinking alcohol

After the video went viral, some users claimed on social media that Ritesh was drunk. On this, the actor took a very strong stand and said, “On the claims being made about me on social media, I want to clarify that I have never drunk alcohol in my life till date nor will I ever drink in the future. Therefore, all the allegations being made in this regard are completely baseless and far from the truth.”

Ritesh also revealed that the person who recorded this video was not invited to this event. He told that this small program was organized only to thank the artists, technicians and colleagues working behind the scenes, who have worked day and night for the film ‘Raja Shivaji’ for three and a half years.

Apologized for hurting sentiments

At the end of his note, Ritesh apologized and wrote, “If this work of mine has hurt anyone’s sentiments even unknowingly, then I apologize wholeheartedly. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is a symbol of faith, inspiration and self-respect for all of us. The respect, love and loyalty I have for him will always remain steadfast.” Ritesh has ended his post by writing ‘Jai Shivrai’.
