RIL AGM 2026: Reliance Industries Limited has made many announcements related to AI in the 49th Annual General Meeting. The company has unveiled new features for Jio Hotstar, including JioStar GenAI Media Studio (JAMS), designed to simplify the content creation process. Also announced were AI Snapshots, Content Commerce and Multiview, which aim to transform the way users discover, view and engage with content.
JioHotstar related announcements at RIL AGM 2026
Reliance during AGM live Infocomm Limited Chairman Akash Ambani told about JioStar GenAI Media Studio (JAMS). According to the company, it is an AI native content production platform, which aims to simplify the process of content creation by providing AI tools to creators, so that they can create content for Indian and global audiences. JAMS claims to cover every aspect of content creation, from ideation and storytelling to creating images, audio, video, and finally the content workflow.
New AI feature for Jio Hotstar
Reliance has also introduced a new feature called AI Snapshot for JioHotstar. This is a personalized content feature that can automatically create customized recaps by combining key moments of content to create a personalized story. Calling it a personal story engine, the company said that with this, users will be able to watch the missed content without watching the entire program.
Reliance told during the AGM that JioHotstar had an average of 451 million active users every month, and also claimed that it has become the first Indian paid OTT platform to cross the one billion download mark.
