Recently, during an interview, Riya spoke openly about the NCB case of Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. Riya told that when she saw Aryan going through that phase, her own old pain became completely fresh.
Riya told that after seeing Aryan Khan’s legal battle and the media headlines made on him, she was reminded of her brother Shovik Chakraborty, who was arrested by NCB and later found innocent by the court. Riya said – ‘When I saw what Aryan was going through, I went into old memories because everything was exactly the same as what had happened with my brother. In fact, it sounded more like my brother Shovik’s story than my story. Both had a lot in common. At that time it was very difficult for me to see all this on TV.
Remembered the moments spent in jail
In the interview, Riya also shared the bitter truth about her days spent inside jail. He told that staying in jail completely breaks the self-esteem of any person. Riya said- ‘The most difficult part of jail is the jail itself. When you realize that you are no longer a part of society, your identity becomes just a number, you are no longer a person. The society does not consider you worthy of living with it and you are isolated from everyone. This thing completely crushes your ego and self-respect.
