
Delhi Municipal Corporation has given big relief to the outstanding house tax payers in Delhi. While giving information on Tuesday, Mayor Pravesh Wahi said that Delhi Municipal Corporation has extended the last date for submission of property tax from 30 June 2026 to 31 July 2026 with the aim of extending the benefit of 10% special discount being given on lump sum property tax payment for the financial year 2026-27 to as many taxpayers as possible.
Mayor Parvesh Wahi said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the convenience of those property taxpayers who, due to various reasons, do not want to pay their taxes within the prescribed time limit. property tax If you are unable to avail the benefit of 10% rebate in deposit tax, the objective of MCD is to provide more convenience to the citizens and encourage them to pay taxes on time.
Date of 10% exemption on house tax extended
The Mayor said that extending the last date will provide relief to all serious and responsible taxpayers who had not been able to deposit their property tax till now. On one hand, this will provide economic benefits to the citizens, while on the other hand, it will also increase the revenue of Delhi Municipal Corporation, which will help in further strengthening the civic amenities, infrastructure, cleanliness, health and other public welfare services in the capital.
Mayor Pravesh Wahi appealed to all property tax payers to take maximum advantage of this opportunity and avail the benefit of 10 percent discount being provided by the corporation by depositing their property tax in lump sum before July 31, 2026.
MCD extended property tax deadline
The Mayor clarified that at present there is little possibility of extending the last date of lump sum property tax payment. Therefore, all taxpayers are requested not to wait for the last minute and discharge their civic responsibility by depositing their property tax within the stipulated time limit.
The Mayor expressed confidence that like always, this time also the people of Delhi will make an important contribution in the development works of Delhi Municipal Corporation by paying property tax on time.
