After the defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections, TMC’s parliamentary party is on the verge of collapse. On Sunday, a meeting of rebel TMC MPs was held at the residence of Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav in New Delhi. After this meeting, rebel MPs led by MPs Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Shatabdi Roy have come to meet the Lok Sabha Speaker.
Sources say that the rebel faction of TMC has decided to merge with Nationalist Citizen Party. This party has its presence in Assam, Tripura, Bengal and North Eastern states. Will merge with this party and support NDA.
Let us tell you that earlier Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar had given a letter signed by 19 MPs to the Lok Sabha Speaker. In this letter, it was claimed to form a separate faction of TMC and it was said to support NDA.
After that, on Sunday, on behalf of MP Abhishek Banerjee, MPs Karti Jha Azad and Sagarika Ghosh met Speaker Om Birla and gave him Abhishek Banerjee’s letter and appealed not to recognize the separate group. This is against the constitution and law. The rebel MPs reached the Speaker’s house only after he left the Speaker’s house.
