After the political turmoil in West Bengal, this struggle has now shifted to Maharashtra. There is a possibility of another split in Uddhav Thackeray led Shiv Sena. Many MPs of the party have become rebels. These MPs were scheduled to attend Eknath Shinde’s program on Friday. But now there is news quoting sources that these rebels will no longer participate in this program so that no action can be taken against them.
Shiv Sena is celebrating its foundation day today. Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) and the faction led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Shinde are both celebrating the foundation day of undivided Shiv Sena on Friday. In such a situation, there was a possibility of the rebel MPs of the Thackeray faction attending the Foundation Day celebrations organized by the Shinde faction. However, a separate group may be disqualified from MP membership on the grounds that they visit another party’s platform before it is recognised. In such a situation, we are not attending Shinde’s program.
MP has left due to attending someone else’s program
Earlier, socialist leader and former Union Minister Sharad Yadav was disqualified for the post of MP due to his presence on the opposition party’s stage. Because of this fear these MPs will not attend this conference.
On the other hand, sources associated with the group claim that the letter signed by the six rebel MPs has been handed over to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, but the Speaker’s Office has said that the process of forming a separate group has not been completed yet.
Process with TMC in Maharashtra
It has also been told that this process will be completed in the coming few days only after the personal presence of all the MPs is registered before the Lok Sabha Speaker. Shinde Sena wants to take every step carefully based on the opinion of legal advisors and experts.
It is being said that in this case also the same procedure will be adopted which is being adopted in the case of Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal. Just as the Speaker has called Abhishek Banerjee today to present his side, similarly in a few days he will also call Arvind Sawant. Anyway, Sawant has already given a letter that in such a situation, the Speaker should also listen to his side before taking a decision. Sources in the Speaker’s office say that the Speaker will take a decision only after listening to both the sides in detail.
Already applied for separate group
It is being claimed that the people of Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) also say that all the 6 MPs had signed the petition to form a separate faction only by being personally present in front of the Speaker. This entire process has also been videographed which Shinde’s party will make public when the time comes.
In this way, the side of the rebel MPs has already reached the Speaker, now all they have to do is take a decision after meeting Arvind Sawant and other Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders along with him and listening to their side. However, today’s meeting between Abhishek Banerjee and the Speaker will also be important from the point of view of Maharashtra because the same process will be adopted in the context of TMC rebellion, on the same basis the Speaker will take the decision in the matter of Maharashtra also.
On the other hand, considering the security of these 6 rebel MPs, Maharashtra Police has provided Y-Plus category security. In the order issued by Police Commissioner (Intelligence) Shirish Jain, it was said that Sanjay Dina Patil (Mumbai-North East), Sanjay Jadhav (Parbhani), Sanjay Deshmukh (Yavatmal-Washim), Nagesh Patil-Ashtikar (Hingoli), Bhausaheb Wakchore (Shirdi), and Omprakash Rajenimbalkar (Osmanabad) have been provided security.
