Real estate craze of Indians increased in Dubai, property worth Rs 5.91 lakh crore sold in 6 months

July 19, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Dubai’s real estate market is once again making records and Indian buyers are playing a big role in it. Indians are increasingly buying houses and flats in Dubai due to better investment, tax benefits, modern amenities and long-term stay options. According to a new report, in the first half of the year 2026 i.e. from January to June, the purchase and sale of residential property in Dubai reached Rs 5.91 lakh crore (about 251 billion dirhams).

During this period, Indian and British citizens were among the most active buyers. This figure shows that Dubai’s property market is no longer limited to local people only, but has become a major center of attraction for investors from all over the world. According to the report, between January and June 2026, more than 1.07 lakh residential properties were bought and sold in Dubai, which is about 26% more than last year.

Apart from India, the share of which countries increased?

The total value of transactions also reached a record level. Experts say that Dubai’s strong economy, growing population, easy investment rules and schemes like Golden Visa are attracting foreign investors. Indian buyers are especially investing in luxury apartments, beach houses and properties giving good rental income. It has been told in the report that apart from Indians, investors from Britain, Russia, China and many countries of Europe have also shown a large stake in the property market of Dubai.

There may be a boom in the property market

However, Indian buyers continue to remain among the top foreign investors. Real estate experts believe that Indian investors consider Dubai a safe and long-term market that gives good returns. Better air connectivity and business relations between India and Dubai are also strengthening this trend. It is being said that if Dubai’s economy remains strong and policies promoting foreign investment continue, then the property market may see a boom in the coming months.

However, before investing, buyers must have complete information about the property price, legal process, tax rules and possible returns. This will help in taking right decisions and reducing the risks related to investment.
