RBI did not sell even a single gram of gold… Government’s big statement on Gold Reserve

In response to a written question in the Lok Sabha, the Central Government said that gold was not sold by the RBI in any way. The written question was asked whether the government has sold gold worth about $12 billion to safeguard foreign exchange reserves due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia?

Government’s answer: No. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has clarified that it has not Sleep Not sold. Earlier, RBI in its press release issued on June 3, 2026 said that the news related to selling gold is wrong and misleading. RBI has refuted the reports published/circulated in a section of the press and media.

Current reserves of gold:

  • The physical reserves of gold, which are part of the foreign exchange reserves of RBI, remain unchanged at 880.52 tonnes till May 29, 2026.
  • There has been no reduction or change in this.
  • Overall, the claim of selling gold worth about $12 billion by the government or RBI is not true.
  • According to RBI, the gold reserves are the same as before at 880.52 tonnes and the news regarding sales in the media is factually incorrect.

Monsoon session of Parliament begins, uproar continues throughout the day

Let us tell you that the monsoon session of Parliament has started from Monday. On the first day of the monsoon session, there was a huge uproar in both the houses of the Parliament regarding the NEET paper leak. After the uproar, the proceedings of both the houses of Parliament were adjourned till tomorrow morning.

Earlier on Monday, there was chaos throughout the day in Delhi due to the demonstration of thousands of supporters of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). The protesters broke the police ban and tried to march to Parliament demanding the resignation of the Education Minister. Police lathicharged and used tear gas to disperse the crowd in Central Delhi.
