In a recent conversation related to this series, Randeep Hooda talked openly about rejecting an important role in Vicky Kaushal's blockbuster 'Chhaava'. The actor revealed why he had said no to a film that earned more than Rs 800 crore. Randeep Hooda told that he was contacted to play the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 'Chhawa'. In this film, Vicky Kaushal played the role of Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire. After Randeep Hooda rejected this role, the role of Aurangzeb was finally played by Akshay Khanna, for which he received a lot of praise. Explaining the reason for rejecting 'Chhaava', Randeep Hooda said that when director Laxman Utekar contacted him for 'Chhaava', his mental health was not good. The actor told that filmmaker Laxman Utekar contacted him when he had completed his work on 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' and post-production work was going on. Randeep said, "I was going through an IP court case and the Hindu-Muslim aspect was very dominant in the whole matter and I did not want to go on that path at all. That's why I rejected Chhava. After that when the film 'Eetha' came to me, I liked it and I said yes to it." After rejecting Randeep Hooda's offer, Akshay Khanna got the role of Aurangzeb in 'Chhawa'. Akshay Khanna's acting in the role of Aurangzeb won everyone's heart. 'Chhaava', made with a budget of Rs 130 crore, had collected Rs 800 crore worldwide.
