
Ramayana Indian Distribution Rights Deal: Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s multi-starrer film ‘Ramayana’ has been in the news for months. With each passing day the release date of its first part is coming closer. ‘Ramayana Part 1’ is to be released on Diwali this year and Part 2 is to be released next year i.e. on Diwali of 2027. The makers are going to release the film on a large scale. Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute it overseas, while in the domestic market i.e. India, its distribution rights have been taken by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Variety India reports that ‘Ramayana‘ Producer Namit Malhotra had shown 30 minutes of edited footage of the film to many studios. The 30-minute visual itself impressed Dharma Productions, opening the way for further talks. The report quoted a source as saying that talks had started with Rs 500 crore for distribution rights. However, in the end this deal was done for Rs 250 crore. With Dharma joining the film, it is expected that it can become the film released on the highest number of screens in India.

Know about the film ‘Ramayana’
Nitesh Tiwari is directing ‘Ramayana’. Nitesh is known for films like Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ and Sushant Singh Rajput’s ‘Chhichhore’. ‘Ramayana’ being made in two parts Ranbir Kapoor Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi will be seen in the role of Mata Sita, Yash Ravana, Ravi Dubey Laxman and Sunny Deol will be seen in the role of Hanuman. Apart from these, actors like Lara Dutta in the role of Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh in the role of Surpanakha, Arun Govil in the role of King Dashrath, Indira Krishnan as Queen Kaushalya, Sheeba Chaddha in the role of Manthara, Adinath Kothare in the role of Bharat and Kunal Kapoor in the role of Lord Indra will be seen.
The budget of the film is 4000 crores
‘Ramayana’ is being described as India’s most expensive film. Its producer Namit Malhotra has told in an interview that the budget of his film is more than 4000 crores. In such a situation, this is going to be the most expensive film of the country. In the film, AR Rahman is composing music in collaboration with Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer.
