Aslam Khan himself had told this in an interview given in the year 2020. He revealed that whenever Arun Govil could not reach the shooting set due to some reason, instead of stopping the shooting, long shots were filmed by dressing him in Ram’s costume. In that era, shooting of TV serials was done in very difficult conditions and preparing the episodes on time was a big challenge for the makers. In such a situation, it was not possible to stop the shooting.

Aslam Khan told that he was a part of the team of the show and was often present on the set. His height and body language were quite similar to Arun Govil, due to which he could be easily used in shots away from the camera. The special thing was that at that time the audience had no knowledge about this and it was almost impossible to spot the difference even on TV.
