But seeing his expressions and aura, Ramanand Sagar felt that he was perfect for Ravana. Ramanand Sagar's first choice for the role of Ravana was Amrish Puri. But after seeing the audition of Arvind Trivedi's 'Kevat', Ramanand Sagar immediately gave him the role of Ravana (Lankesh). Then Arvind Trivedi became famous in every household with the role of Ravana. Arvind Trivedi has won the hearts of people by acting in more than 300 films. In Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayana', the role of the boatman (kevat) who took Lord Ram, Mother Sita and Lakshman across the river Ganga was played by actor Kaustubh Trivedi. This scene is considered to be the most emotional in the entire show, when he made Shri Ram sit in his boat after washing his feet. Arvind Trivedi, who played the role of cruel Ravana on screen, was a great devotee of Lord Ram and Shiva in real life. Even during the shooting, Arvind Trivedi used to apologize to Lord Ram for his character. Arvind Trivedi died on 6 October 2021 due to a heart attack.
