
There is a lot of turmoil within the Trust regarding the resignation of Champat Rai, General Secretary of Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust. There are two opinions in the Trust on this matter. Champat Rai and his supporters are not in favor of permanent leave from the Trust. After the resignation, Champat Rai may leave Ayodhya. Therefore, some members tacitly agree to Champat Rai’s departure. Some members are also in favor of Champat, Dinendra Das has even been giving statements. Dinendra Das walked out of Ayodhya on the eve of the meeting citing health reasons.
Till yesterday he was meeting people and also talking to the media with a smile. A special meeting has been called due to emergency, yet there is a question on keeping distance from the meeting? Has this been done deliberately or has someone told him so? Gopalji Rao has been openly opposing him.
There will be an important meeting today
Amid the controversy over allegations of misappropriation of donations to Ram Temple, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust is holding an important meeting today at 3 pm. In this meeting, a decision will be taken on the resignation of Champat Rai (General Secretary) and Anil Mishra (Trustee). The place of the meeting has been changed due to security reasons. Now it will be held in the Ram Mandir complex, earlier it was to be held in Mani Ramdas Cantonment.
This is happening for the first time that Champat Rai and Anil Mishra will not attend the meeting. Voting can also take place on important issues in this meeting. Trust treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri said that except two cases involving cash donations, he was not involved in any other transaction.
Many important members have reached Ayodhya on Sunday to attend the meeting of Ram Mandir Trust. Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati from Prayagraj, Parmanand Giri Maharaj from Haridwar, Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri from Pune. Nirmohi Akhara chief Mahant Dinendra Das was out of Ayodhya on Sunday, but it is expected that he will attend the meeting. Those members who could not attend the meeting in person, have been sent a video link so that they can give their views online.
