A big revelation has come to light in the Ram temple offering theft case. Champat Rai had given ‘Supreme’ power to Anil Mishra in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The trust had hired 10 new people in March 2025 for cash counting. All these people were associated with Sangh and Vishwa Hindu Parishad. According to reports, Champat Rai had sent all the people to Anil Mishra and Anil Mishra had interviewed them and hired them. It started from March 2, 2025, when Champat Rai had called everyone. Then on March 4, everyone went to meet Anil Mishra and on March 6, 2025, 10 people were hired and everyone started working.
Initially, no I-card was made for the hired people, hence they were given a duty sheet and by showing the same, everyone was allowed to enter the temple premises. Everyone got a salary of Rs 18,000 per month from the trust and their duty timings were from 9 am to 5 pm, while lunch was at 1:30 pm.
Counting of offerings took place at two places.
According to reports, the counting of offerings was done not at one place but at two places. In fact, after Kumbh, a huge crowd of devotees was reaching Ram temple and the offerings had increased manifold. In such a situation, two counting centers were created. One counting room was set up in the PFC building within the temple complex and the other in the police post located within the counting center complex.
All the newly hired people were given the job of sorting the notes, making bundles and counting them with machines in the counting room of the police post. Among them, Anukalp, Avinash, Karunesh and Luv Kush were on cash counting duty in the police post, while after Swatantra Pandey, Ravindra Nath, Tarun Malviya and Himanshu Tripathi left the job, Manish Yadav and Rama Shankar entered the cash counting room.
Main counting center is in the basement of PFC building.
According to reports, the main counting center along with the monitoring room, staff canteen and SBI counter are in the basement of the PFC building, which is guarded by SIS security personnel and sometimes CRPF personnel also come. There were 2-3 people on duty in the monitoring room, but everyone kept roaming outside, no one was monitoring the counting process very carefully. All the 10 people who were employed by the Trust for counting, used to sit in the police post and do the counting. The camera was also installed there and the monitoring screen was also installed in the same room. There was no monitoring there.
Such was the influence of Tinnu Yadav
According to reports, the former temple SP had a clash with Tinnu over some issue, and he was transferred within two days. Actually, Tinnu Yadav was the head of the temple and whatever he wanted, whatever happened. Apart from this, Subhash Srivastava (retired bank employee and accused) was in charge, whose responsibility was to take out the cash from the box, take it to the counting room and hand it over to SBI. At the same time, no account of jewelery was ever kept, hence theft was very easy.
A member of the counting team had complained
The theft of Ram Temple offerings was first detected in February and a member of the counting team went to in-charge Subhash Srivastava and told him that money was being stolen, after which Subhash Srivastava replied that God is watching which one is going from our house to yours.
