Security system failing at many levels: SIT report
The SIT report clearly states that such a huge theft in a high-security zone like Ram Temple is a very serious failure of the security system. Despite the responsibilities of the security personnel deployed in and around the counting room being fixed in advance, there were many major shortcomings at the level of monitoring. Taking advantage of this gross negligence on many layers, the thieves committed this major crime.
The role of trust officials is also under scrutiny
In this case, the investigating agencies have also made it clear that the officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust have not yet received any clean chit. A detailed investigation into the role of Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, member Anil Mishra and construction committee assistant Gopal Rao is still going on. The SIT is closely investigating whether there was any major negligence in the administrative supervision of these officials. It is believed that many more big facts in this regard may come to light in the final report.
New SOP and major changes in security recommended
In view of this serious incident of theft of offerings, the SIT has strongly recommended radical changes in the security structure of the temple. The report calls for immediate replacement of existing security officers and employees, high-tech surveillance systems and implementation of a new strict standard operating procedure (SOP). Its main objective is to prevent recurrence of any such incident in future and to make the entire system transparent and accountable.
