According to sources, the game of theft had started even before the consecration. Large scale theft took place after January 22, 2024. The amount stolen from the temple can reach crores. Initially Rs 2-4 lakh cash was stolen every day. Later the amount stolen from the temple increased manifold. Anukalp Mishra’s name is coming at the center of investigation.

According to sources, Anukalp Mishra was appointed to the temple on the recommendation of a trustee. Then Anukalp got the responsibility of counting. Anukalp created a network of relatives. The matter of manipulation of donations through this network is coming to light. Brother-in-law Lavkush was appointed 8 months ago. The alternative had an impact on shift workers. He took control of the entire system by influencing the employees.

How was the offering theft exposed?

On June 5, the people of the Trust suddenly reached the Passenger Facilitation Centre. A security guard was called and a note counting person was searched. Some money was found during the search. Then he was interrogated thoroughly. During interrogation, the employee mentioned the names of Anukalp and Lavkush. The officials stopped these people also and interrogated them. After interrogation, huge cash was found in the bathroom of PFC.

During interrogation it was revealed that they had their base in Kaushalpuri. The stolen amount was distributed there. On the other hand, CM Yogi has made it clear that the donation thief who ‘cheats’ in Ram Kaj will not be spared. Meanwhile, the heat of the investigation is reaching many people. Champat Rai, Gopal Rao and Anil Mishra are also in its circle. Questions are also being raised on the role of people associated with the temple management.
