
The investigation into the Ram Temple offering theft case is progressing rapidly. The police have demanded 48 hours of police custody (remand) from the court for in-depth interrogation of the accused Avinash Shukla arrested in the case. The remand application filed in the court of Special Judge (Anti-Corruption) will be heard on Thursday. If the court accepts the demand of the police, then the investigating agency will try to reveal many important secrets related to the case by interrogating the accused face to face.
Investigating officers say that many important information has come to light in the analysis so far. It is necessary to interrogate Avinash Shukla to confirm these facts, clarify the flow of the stolen money, its use, possible recovery and the role of other people associated with the case. Police believe that many new links may come to light during remand.
’48 hours custody of the accused is necessary’
Special Prosecution Officer Sanjay Dubey presented the application filed by the investigating officer of the case Ashutosh Tiwari in the court of Special Judge Rajat Verma. The police told the court that 48-hour custody of the accused is necessary for a fair and effective investigation.
Demand to provide advocate during hearing
Accused Avinash Shukla, who appeared in the court through video conferencing on Wednesday, said that there is no lawyer on his behalf. On this he requested the District Legal Services Authority to provide a lawyer. The court directed the Secretary of the Authority to appoint a lawyer and fixed Thursday for hearing on the remand application.
Expect many more revelations if we get remand.
The investigating agencies believe that after getting police custody, through face-to-face interrogation of the accused, important facts related to the use of stolen money, possible recovery, network of transactions and role of other suspects can come to light. According to sources, as the investigation progresses, the police will also seek remand of other accused arrested in the case, so that the layers of the entire gang can be revealed.
A box written ‘Ramrajya Kosh’ recovered from the accused’s yoga center
Police have recovered a wooden box written ‘Ramrajya Kosh’ from the Yoga Center of Ayodhya of the jailed accused Avinash Shukla in this case.‘Ramrajya Kosh’ was written in red color on that box and there was also the QR code of Paytm on it.
