Champat Rai, General Secretary of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has resigned. There was pressure on him to resign after the case of theft of offerings in Ayodhya’s Ram temple came to light. He was the target of the opposition. Apart from Champat, trust member Anil Mishra has also resigned.
This big development came to light on Friday amidst the alleged irregularities in offerings related to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya. The resignations of both have come at a time when the first FIR has been registered on the basis of the preliminary report of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the Uttar Pradesh government and the investigation of the entire matter is progressing continuously.
