A new initiative regarding blood donation has been started in the Central Hospital of Delhi. Under this, if any patient needs blood in emergency, then his blood requirement can be met through ‘Rakta Setu’ campaign. If any blood donor is interested in this, then first he will have to register on aaosathchalen.org.
what is this plan
Under this scheme, any blood donor has to first register himself. Also, as soon as blood is needed in an emergency, it is immediately contacted. Then the blood donor can come to the hospital and donate blood voluntarily.
It has been seen many times that some blood groups are rare. When patients need blood of such rare groups, they are not able to get a blood donor. In such a situation, one has to take help of another blood bank. By being registered in the hospital, the hospital will have the data of such blood donors so that they can be called with immediate effect.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi State General Secretary Vishnu Mittal said that this is a very important initiative for which politicians should also come forward. Many lives can be saved through the launch of Rakt Setu campaign. He said that under this campaign, a special emergency blood helpline has been started for Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, the objective of which is to provide timely blood to the needy patients.
so that you don’t have to wander too much
It is believed that if even one unit of blood is available on time, the lives of at least 4 people can be saved. Rakt Setu is an effort born from this thinking, so that no one dies due to lack of blood.
Helpline number for blood donor
This campaign can also be connected through the helpline of RML Hospital. It is better that the more people join, the more the blood shortage can be bridged. The helpline will act as an instant bridge between patients and blood donors, so that immediate assistance can be provided in emergency situations. According to the information, it has been started first from RML Hospital, but in the coming days this campaign is to be extended to other hospitals of Delhi.
