The politics of the country has once again heated up after the nomination of Congress candidate Meenakshi Natarajan in the Rajya Sabha elections was cancelled. Natarajan’s nomination was canceled on charges of hiding information in the affidavit filed for the election. Congress is furious over this decision and the party is preparing to take this decision to court. The party will also meet the Election Commission today on this issue, although it went for the meeting yesterday also, but its entry could not be made.
After the rejection of Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination, Congress has attacked the Election Commission. Congress termed it as murder of democracy and alleged that it was no longer a case of vote theft but had become a case of seat theft. Now the election officer is being discussed who has once again fueled the controversy by rejecting the candidature of the Congress candidate.
