Defense Minister mentioned Pahalgam attack

Referring to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Defense Minister said that last year, a dastardly terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam. Terrorists killed our innocent citizens by asking about religion. After that incident, the blood of the entire country boiled. After that, the three armies of the country together carried out Operation Sindoor. He said that our forces, by carrying out precise strikes, completely destroyed the terrorist infrastructure based in Pakistan.

‘All three armies played an important role’

He said that the country’s Army and Air Force not only played their role, but the role played by our Navy was also very important. He said that the Navy was present in the Arabian Sea with full strength. Which maintained constant fear in the mind of the enemy. The result was that the entire Pakistan Navy sat in fear in its ports. He said that this strength of our forces is the result of our continuous hard work and vigilance. He said that ever since the government came to power under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014, special attention was paid to the fact that India will be truly powerful only when our forces do not have to depend on other countries for weapons. Therefore the Prime Minister gave the vision of a self-reliant India.

‘India is becoming self-reliant’

The Defense Minister said that through Make in India, Defense corridors, i-DEX, ADITI, and many other initiatives, we ensured that we manufacture state-of-the-art weapons for the Indian Army in India and if possible, we also export them outside India. He said that India’s defense sector is now moving towards becoming completely self-reliant. He said that today we are getting the results of the hard work we have done in the last ten years. In 2014, our domestic defense production was only Rs 46,000 crore, that is, we were able to make weapons and equipment worth only Rs 46,000 crore in India, but today it has increased to more than Rs 1.5 lakh crore.

DRDO laboratories started

Rajnath Singh said that the land of Uttar Pradesh is already known for its participation in the army. The soldiers here have defended the country with great courage and shoulder to shoulder in every war. But we have taken the initiative to take it further. He said that under this thinking we started DRDO laboratories here. He said that through Defense Corridor, Uttar Pradesh is making India’s defense sector self-reliant. BrahMos is also being manufactured here in Lucknow and in many other ways Uttar Pradesh is strengthening defense manufacturing.

This garden has been developed near Gate No. 5 of Ekana Cricket Stadium. This garden, prepared in an area of more than 2 acres at a cost of about Rs 19 crore, has been dedicated to the bravery, valor and modern technical capability of the Indian Navy. The biggest attraction of the garden is the retired warship INS Gomti of the Indian Navy. This warship was retired from naval service on 28 May 2022.
