The film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, released in 1989 under the banner of Rajshree Productions, was the first successful film of Salman’s career. This film made him a Bollywood superstar and gave him the fame he deserved. In this film, a big and strong star cast was also made with Salman, who did an amazing job. The film ‘Jazba’ released in 2015 was his last film in the industry. Actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Irrfan Khan were in lead roles in this film. Nowadays, Rajiv runs a hotel in Mumbai. Rajiv did not say goodbye to acting completely.

Rajiv retired from films, but he still does theatre. He has a theater group in Bhopal. Rajeev teaches acting and conducts workshops there.
