Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi targeted the Central Government over the US Navy attack on three commercial ships with Indian crew near the coast of Oman in the Gulf region. Earlier, Congress also expressed grief over the death of 3 Indians in the attack on a commercial ship near Oman coast on Thursday and said that the government cannot escape its responsibility on this murder.
Former Congress President and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi on Friday condemned the US Navy’s attack on three commercial ships with Indian crew. Attacking the Modi government, Rahul Gandhi said, “3 Indians died in US attacks on 3 ships in 3 days in international waters. And our Compromised PM? Not even a word.”
‘…then the Prime Minister will have to speak’
He further said, “When a foreign power kills an Indian, the Prime Minister has to speak. But dare he speak a single word. Next week at the G7, just a few days after the murder of our sailors, Modi ji will smile, hug and compromise – but he will not have a word for those 3 Indians. Compromised PM cannot protect the sons of Mother India, because he has neither the courage nor the strength to anger those who took the lives of those sons.”
Three Indians died in US attacks on three ships in international waters in three days. And our Compromised PM? Not even a word.
When a foreign power kills an Indian, the Prime Minister has to speak. But it’s a shame to say this one word.

Earlier, Congress expressed grief over the death of 3 Indian sailors in the attack by the US Navy and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi cannot escape his responsibility. On behalf of the party, media department head Pawan Kheda said that the central government should take diplomatic steps to ensure accountability in this matter.
Congress also targeted the killing of Indians
Kheda said, “Congress condoles the tragic death of three Indian sailors. We extend our deepest condolences to their families and loved ones and stand in solidarity with them in this difficult time.” He said that Congress strongly condemns the military actions taken by the United States that endangered the lives of civilian ships and maritime personnel in the region.
He further said, “PM Modi, who has repeatedly touted his personal closeness with President Donald Trump as a diplomatic achievement, cannot escape responsibility when that relationship fails to protect the lives and interests of Indian citizens.” He said that we request the government to provide immediate assistance and adequate compensation to the affected families. Also ensure the safety and well-being of other Indians stranded in similar critical situations off the coast of Oman.
At the same time, India strongly opposed the attacks on commercial ships and told the United Nations Security Council that due to the attacks in the area, many of its citizens have died or are missing. India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Harish Parvatneni said that we have expressed deep concern over the ongoing conflict in Iran and the Gulf region. On the other hand, India summoned Jason Meeks, the officer in charge of the US Embassy, and lodged a strong protest against the American attack on the ship.
