Women of Punjab will start getting money every month under the Matri-Putri Satkar Yojana from tomorrow. Under this scheme, women of general category will get Rs 1000 and women of Scheduled Caste category will get Rs 1500 per month. This amount will start from Dhuri, the home area of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
confirming this Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann While talking to journalists in Dhuri, he said that the work of giving Rs 1000 to women will start from tomorrow itself. This process will start in banks after 12 noon tomorrow.
3 months amount in women’s account
So far 4 lakh women have been registered. The registration work of the remaining women is going on. The amount will be given as soon as registration is done. For the first time, the government will deposit 3 months’ amount at one go in the accounts of women. That means women from general category will get Rs 3000 and women from Scheduled Caste category will get Rs 4500.
Know about Mata-Putri Samman Yojana
At present there are about 52 lakh adult women in the state, out of which 40 lakh women have been registered so far. 51.48 percent of the total population of Punjab are adult women. Punjab government started registration under this scheme from April. In this year’s budget, the government has made a provision of Rs 9,300 crore for this scheme.
