Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann made a big announcement for the farmers. He said that the government will lay 7,000 kilometers more pipelines by the end of this year to deliver canal water to every farm in Punjab. Along with this, the Chief Minister said that 14,000 kilometers of pipelines have already been laid in the last four years.
The Chief Minister also claimed that the parties rejected by the public in the 2022 assembly elections have united against him because they cannot compete with the work of his government. He further said that the people of Punjab will never allow those who looted the state during their rule to come back to power.
21,000 cusecs of water released
Addressing a huge gathering of people during the Lok Milani, the Chief Minister said, “The Punjab government has laid 14,000 kilometers of pipes and built ditches across the state for the convenience of the farmers in every nook and corner of the state. Till now, 21,000 cusecs of water has been released in these pipelines and ditches so that the farmers can meet their irrigation needs and get huge benefits. Recharge points have been made in the canals and rivers so that the water level is maintained.” “Can be raised higher and due to this the water level has increased by two to four meters.”

Sukhbir Badal also attacked
Taking a dig at Sukhbir Badal, he said, “Sukhbir Badal is still in shock due to the defeat of the year 2022 and is still living in a dream world, which is clearly visible from his statements. The former Deputy Chief Minister has recently said that he has ordered all his MLAs not to go to the Assembly. He has forgotten that Akali Dal now has only one MLA left, who is his relative.
He further said, “The Akali leaders ruthlessly looted the state during their long and brutal rule and committed countless and unforgivable atrocities on the common man. The Akalis deeply hurt the psyche of Punjabis and patronized many mafias in the state to ruin Punjab. The Akali leadership can never be forgiven as it was responsible for the ruin of several generations of the state by patronizing the drug trade during their long misrule.
Attack on drug gang, people’s government
Listing the major achievements of his government, the Chief Minister said, “The state government is now truly working for the people. The government has provided free electricity to households, government jobs to more than 68,000 youth without any corruption, better roads, closure of toll plazas saving Rs 70 lakh per day, quality education and health services.
Emphasizing the success of the anti-drug campaign, the Chief Minister said, “The ‘War on Drugs’ campaign has proved helpful in breaking the back of the evil of drugs and with the cooperation of the public, this scourge can be completely eradicated from the state. The supply chain of drugs has already been broken and the big fishes involved in this heinous crime have been put behind the bars. Now there is a need to give more momentum to this campaign, for which people will have to come forward.”
