
The court has convicted a 65-year-old accused who brutally assaulted a 3-year-old innocent girl on May 1 in Nasrapur, Pune. The accused will now be sentenced on June 29. The people of Nasrapur are demanding the hanging of the accused. Actually, 65-year-old Bhimrao Kamble had kidnapped a 3-year-old innocent girl and brutally raped her on 1 May 2026. After this the accused murdered her and ran away.
However, the police arrested the accused shortly after the incident. In this case, a special court of Pune has declared the accused guilty of the incident. This case was heard by Special Judge S.R. Salunkhe. Special Public Prosecutor Ajay Misar said that all the charges leveled under several sections of the POCSO Act including kidnapping, molestation, rape and murder have been proved in the court.
After the hearing, Misr said, “The court has found that the prosecution has been completely successful in proving all the charges. The accused had denied the crime and claimed that the girl had suffered injuries when she slipped and fell while showing a calf, but the evidence proved her claim to be false.”
crossed all limits of cruelty
Misr said, “We placed before the court the young age of the victim and the brutal attack on her continuously for 39 minutes. In the post-mortem report, 18 injury marks were found on the girl’s body.” He said that such strong evidence has been found which proved that it was the accused who had done this cruelty to the girl.
Canker sore for Kamble community
Misr said that the children who had seen the accused taking the girl with them, clearly identified the accused even during the identification parade. The government lawyer requested the court to impose death penalty for the accused, saying that there is no possibility of Kamble’s reformation or rehabilitation in the society.
Sentence will be pronounced on June 29
He argued, “He already has cases registered against him for crimes related to a 62-year-old woman, a 17-year-old girl and a cattle-related crime, and now he has made this innocent girl his victim. He is a big threat to the society.” Misr said that the court has now reserved its verdict on the punishment in this case and will decide on June 29 whether the accused should be given death penalty or life imprisonment.
