Problems increased for former RG Kar principal Sandeep Ghosh, now bulldozer will run on his house, Kolkata Corporation ordered

Kolkata Municipal Corporation has ordered the demolition of a part of the roof of the house of Sandeep Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Hospital. The allegation is that that part was made without permission. That part was not mentioned in the original design of the house. Kolkata Municipal Corporation had visited Sandeep Ghosh’s house and inspected the construction. The Municipal Corporation had given notice to the house a few years ago. This time, a particular part was asked to be demolished. The demolition work will have to be completed in the next 45 days.

It was said in the notification of the Municipal Corporation that three parts of Sandeep Ghosh’s house in Badan Roy Lane of Beleghata have been built without permission. One of them has to fall.

Sandeep Ghosh and Sangeeta Ghosh are accused of violating sections 133 and 134 of the Building Rules 2009 at 83 Badan Roy Lane. The Municipal Corporation investigated and took action based on the complaint of a member of the government.

Corporation sent notice to Sandeep Ghosh

On October 30, 2024, a notice was sent to Sandeep Ghosh’s house by Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Municipal Corporation officials also went to his house. It was said in the notice that a covering made on the roof of Sandeep Ghosh’s house in an area of ​​5.425 square meters has been declared illegal. The height of this part is 2.05 meters. This construction has been done without permission.

Apart from this, a spiral iron staircase has been installed on the roof to reach a special machine room. A new brick wall has been built in front of the door on the third floor. These parts are also without permission. There was no mention of that extra part in the original design. Both the owner of the house and the complainant were present in the hearing held in this matter in the Municipal Corporation.

Time given for 45 days

The owner had agreed to remove that part within two months. After that the Municipal Corporation ordered that that part be demolished within 45 days. If anyone has any objection to this order, then he can file a new complaint in the Municipal Corporation.

Sandeep Ghosh was the superintendent of the hospital at the time of the rape and murder of the doctor on duty. Questions were also raised on his role in the entire incident. Sandeep Ghosh had resigned amid the controversy. Later his name came up in different cases of rape-murder and financial corruption in the hospital. He was arrested by CBI in both the cases. Later he got bail in the rape-murder case, but he is still in jail in the financial corruption case.
