Karnataka’s new Chief Minister D.K. Shivkumar is about to become. He has been elected leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) and will take oath as Chief Minister in a simple ceremony on June 3. After several meetings, he convinced the Congress high command that senior party leader Siddaramaiah should step down from the post of Chief Minister. At the same time, there is an atmosphere of happiness in the famous Panchmukhi Anjaneya temple located in Raichur Taluk district of the state regarding DK becoming the CM because the prediction of the original priest of the temple Shamcharya has come true. He had already predicted that DK Shivakumar would become the Chief Minister. Meanwhile, he shared his happiness with TV9.

Panchmukhi Anjaneya Temple has its own unique history. People associated with politics reach here in large numbers and make vows to God. Even before priest Shamcharya’s prediction proved true, four Chief Ministers have offered prayers at the Panchmukhi Anjaneya Temple. It included Gundu Rao, Bangarappa, Veerappa Moily and B.S. Yediyurappa is included. These leaders especially worshiped here. Now, by the grace of Panchmukhi Prandev, D.K. Shivkumar is going to become the fifth Chief Minister.

While being the Deputy Chief Minister in October 2025, D.K. Shivkumar had reached the temple with his wife. On this occasion, to fulfill his wish, he performed special ‘Madhu Abhishek’ of the Panchmukhi deity and recited 42 shlokas.

What did the priests say about DK Shivkumar?

Talking about this, priest Shamcharya said that by doing Madhu Abhishek on Panchmukhi Pranadev, difficulties are removed and wishes are fulfilled, then the work is definitely accomplished. We had said that after Puja, DK will become the Chief Minister. Today, with the blessings of Panchmukhi Anjaneya, this has become true.

Story of Panchmukhi Anjaneya Temple of Raichur

The glory of Panchmukhi Anjaneya Temple of Raichur district is unique. This temple is built in Ganadhal village of the district, which is ancient. Hanuman ji is present here in Panchmukhi form. His idol is carved on rocks, which is said to be natural. This Panchmukhi idol includes the forms of Hanuman, Narasimha, Garuda, Varaha and Hayagriva. It is believed that in Treta Yuga, Hanuman ji had taken this form to protect Lord Ram and his younger brother Lakshman. Apart from this, it is also believed that Saint Shri Raghavendra Swami had performed rigorous penance here for 12 years. Hanuman ji was very happy with this penance and he appeared to him in Panchmukhi form.
