
Four days were a different experience for the music lovers of Gurugram and Noida. In this, along with the presentations of different classical instruments, the presentations of Anup Jalota who engrossed in his bhajans were special. This program was also a means to remember the world famous Surbahar artist Annapurna Devi. Many renowned artists of the country remembered him in the four-day program of Annapurna Devi Foundation. In this music festival, the eminent classical artists of the country enriched the rich tradition of Indian music with their performances and also worked to connect the listeners with it.
Anup Jalota’s bhajans created a devotional atmosphere
This program was organized between July 1 and July 4. The initial program was organized in Gurugram. In which scholar Sudeshna Bhattacharjee played sarod in the inaugural session. He gave an impressive presentation of Raga Kirwani. After this, Pandit Shubhendra Rao mesmerized the audience by playing sitar in Raga Yaman. The first day of the program ended with the melodious Santoor recital of Padmashree Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya. After this, the second day was dedicated to singing soulful bhajans of Padmashree Pandit Anup Jalota. His melodious presentations drenched the entire atmosphere with devotion and gave the listeners a wonderful experience of spiritual bliss.

Shehnai was also heard in the program
After this, the presentations of this festival took place in Noida. The program organized in Noida started with the Shehnai recital of Pandit Lokesh Anand. In which he presented Raga Bhimbanti. After this, Padmashree Pandit Anup Jalota also performed in front of the music lovers of Noida. On this occasion, Pandit Prosenjit Poddar accompanied him on the tabla. A unique confluence of various genres of classical music was seen on the concluding day of the program.

flute playing fascinated me
Pandit Nityanand Haldipur enthralled the audience by playing flute in Raga Marwa. Vidushi Shivani Kalyanpur presented sub-classical singing based on Raga Desh and Malhar. Further in the program, Pandit Dr. Ashwini Mahesh Dalvi presented Surbahar in Raga Hemant and the program concluded with Pandit Rishi Shankar’s impressive Pakhawaj recital.
