
After DK Shivakumar became the Chief Minister of Karnataka, the Congress leadership has made BK Hariprasad the President of the State Congress. According to party sources, now a major reshuffle is expected in the Congress organization across the country. After fixing the problems of our state governments, now preparations are being made for changes in the Congress organization. In-charges of half a dozen states and half a dozen state presidents are going to be changed, so many inactive secretaries may be removed from the organization. Last week, Rahul Gandhi held a meeting with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and general secretary organization KC Venugopal to discuss the changes.
Congress Mainly focusing on those states where assembly elections are to be held early next year. Elections are to be held in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur. Elections are expected in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh late next year. Except Punjab, Congress is in direct competition with BJP in all these states.
In-charges of half a dozen states will be changed
According to sources, first of all if we talk about the in-charges, the in-charges of half a dozen states including Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Assam, Rajasthan, Bengal are to be changed. Recently, Congress has made Girish Chodankar the president of Goa and BK Hariprasad as the president of Karnataka, while the work of many state presidents including Punjab President Raja Vading, UP President Ajay Rai, Maharashtra President Harshvardhan Sapkal, Delhi President Devendra Yadav and Bengal President Subhankar Sarkar is being reviewed.
At the same time, in Rajasthan, discussions are being held on sending Sachin Pilot in place of President Govind Singh Dotasara for more than 5 years. Also, it is certain that the presidents of Tamil Nadu and Manipur will be changed.
Consideration of giving place to elderly people in the working committee
Recently there has been a change in the post of CM in Karnataka. Siddaramaiah has resigned from the post of CM and DK Shivakumar has been made the new Chief Minister of the state. There itself, Siddaramaiah has been made a member of the Congress Working Committee. Apart from them, the working committee is also considering replacing some old leaders with new people. A series of discussions have started between Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal for changes in the organization.
