About a month after Inauguration Day, Republican Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina introduced the Donald Trump $250 Bill Act. According to this, the Bureau of Printing and Engraving will be instructed to design and print a $250 legal US tender bill with the image of the Republican President.
When the director of the printing bureau told the political appointees that this was not a realistic plan, he was suddenly transferred to another place. The Washington Post report also said that the same people provided bureau staff with “mock-up designs” for the note, which naturally featured Trump’s face in the center of the $250 bill.
The artist who has designed the mock-up is Ian Alexander. He confirmed that he had talked to the President about the project and that he had received ideas for changes directly from Trump. It had the signatures of President Trump and Finance Minister Scott Besant on both sides.

Apart from this, there was talk of changes like adding the colors of the American flag and putting a logo to mark the completion of 250 years of the country’s founding. The image of a living person has not been printed on American currency since 1866. At that time, after the picture of a Treasury Department officer was printed on a five cent note, such a law was made and it was banned. About two months ago, it was announced that on the completion of 250 years of America’s founding, a gold coin with President Trump’s photo would be issued.
A spokesperson for the Finance Ministry told The Washington Post that the Printing Office is doing the necessary preparation and investigation keeping the proposed law in mind. He says that if this law is implemented then it will be an honor to the 250th anniversary of our great country. This effort is being made to print a $250 note with Trump’s photo.
