
Comedian Pranit More seems to be in trouble for making objectionable remarks against a woman in his show. The matter came into controversy after the video of the comment ‘370 rupees biryani’ went viral. Now in this matter, the National Commission for Women has issued a notice to Pranit More and the person who made this comment, Himanshu Jangra, and has asked them to appear in the office of the Women’s Commission.
The Women’s Commission has asked Pranit More and Himanshu Jangra to appear before the Commission on June 22, 2026 at 4 pm. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, NCW Chairperson Mrs. Vijaya Rahatkar has written a letter to the Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) asking him to take immediate strict action and within the stipulated time frame. The Commission has sought a detailed ‘Action Report’ (ATR) within seven days.

The Commission has sought information about the status of registration of FIR under the Indian Code of Justice (BNS) and other applicable laws, action taken against those involved, investigation and verification of viral video evidence, and the role of organisers, artistes and venue management in the incident.
