Rajkummar Rao Prahaar Movie: Rajkumar Rao was seen in the recently released comedy thriller ‘Toaster’, which was released on Netflix. Rajkumar Rao currently has many films, which include Sourav Ganguly’s biopic ‘Dada’ and ‘Raftaar’. Apart from this, Rajkumar Rao is also working on ‘Prahar – The Ujjwal Nikam Story’, the first poster of which was released recently. Along with the poster, the makers also announced its release date. This film was to be released in theaters on 7th August. But now it has come to light that perhaps it can be postponed.

This film was earlier scheduled to be released in theaters on August 7, 2026 and its trailer was also recently attached with Cocktail 2, which received a good response from the audience. However, now reports are claiming that the film will not be released on the scheduled date.
Will Prahar be postponed?
Bollywood Hungama’s report quoted a source as saying that ‘Prahar’ was scheduled to release on August 7, but the makers have now decided to postpone its release. The report said that this decision was taken after discussion with all the stakeholders. He believes that it would not be right to release the film at that time, because many films are being released back-to-back and the makers do not want a clash of ‘Prahar’ with any film.

Due to this the film may be postponed
According to the report, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is releasing a week before ‘Prahar’. At the same time, after a week i.e. on 15th August, ‘Batwara 1947’ and ‘Awarapan 2’ will hit the theaters. In such a situation, the makers believe that Rajkumar Rao’s film should get a better release window. Two films of Maddock Films were to be released in August. ‘Prahar’ was scheduled for release on August 7 and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Itha’ was scheduled for release on August 28. However, recently there were reports that the release of ‘Eetha’ may also be postponed, so that the clash with ‘Toxic’, which is releasing on August 26, can be avoided. However, no official confirmation has been made yet by the makers regarding postponing the release of both the films.

Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Prahar’ is based on the famous case fought by famous lawyer Ujjwal Nikam. The film will depict the legal battles and trials that followed the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts and 2008 26/11 terror attacks. The film has been directed by Avinash Arun. In this, Vamika Gabbi will also be seen in an important role along with Rajkumar Rao. This will be the second film of both of them after ‘Bhool Chook Maaf’. For the first time, people liked their pairing a lot and the film was a hit at the box office.
At present, no announcement has been made by the makers regarding change in the release date. In such a situation, now everyone’s eyes are on the new date on which ‘Prahar’ will hit the theatres.
