According to Drik Panchang, the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of Ashadha month will start on Sunday, July 12 at 2:04 am. This date will end on July 12 itself at 10:29 pm. The time of Pradosh Kaal will be available on 12th July. Therefore this Pradosh fast will be observed on 12th. This day is Sunday, hence this Ravi Pradosh fast will be observed.
Ravi Pradosh fast puja auspicious time (Ravi Pradosh Vrat 2026 Puja Subh Muhurat)
According to Drik Panchang, Pradosh Kaal for worshiping Lord Shiva on July 12 will be from 07:36 pm to 9:20 pm. Devotees will get total time of 01 hour 44 minutes to worship Shiva. There is a religious belief that worshiping and anointing Shiva as per the rituals during Pradosh period gives special results.
Ravi Pradosh Vrat Puja Method (Ravi Pradosh Vrat Puja Vidhi)
- On the day of Ravi Pradosh fast, wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes.
- After this, take a pledge to fast and adopt a virtuous lifestyle throughout the day.
- During Pradosh period, anoint Lord Shiva’s Shivalinga with Ganga water, milk, curd, honey, ghee and sugar.
- After this, offer Belpatra, Dhatura, Hemp, white flowers and fruits.
- Chant Om Namah Shivay mantra during puja. Read the story of Pradosh Vrat
- Recite Shiva Chalisa or Shiva Stuti.
- At last, perform aarti of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati and offer your wishes at their feet.
